Eccola! Or how do you write it when you get to see something in italian. Let’s skip the weather description today, it’s just perfect.

We overheard on the radio something that left us all with an open mouth. We have long time no see visitors here and they are quite small, aren’t they?

When one of our guides found out that we might be able to see the largest animal that has ever lived on this planet here in the fjord, he had very hard time keeping it cool. We did have to take quite a long journey to meet them. We arrived and there the atmosphere in the air was openly tense. Rumours spread fast around the boat and some customers already knew that this one is going to be more than special.

Then it happened. A massive Blue Whale popped up just right in front of us! Most of our crew had never even seen one and guess what, just right after we found out that there were two swimming right next to each other. I have seen a few people tearing up, myself included. It is hard to hold back your emotions when you see something that you knew only from encyclopedias or documentaries with David Attenborough.

There is not much to say when things like this happen, it is just exactly the moments in life that will most likely never repeat and we all will keep it in our hearts. That is what life is all about!

I would forget that we got to see so much other wildlife today, we have seen plenty of Harbour Porpoises, Minke Whale and also a Humpback Whale, it is just crazy how much we got to see this morning. Let’s see what is going on later today.

An update, we just saw a fluke of a Blue Whale in the early afternoon tour, which is just ridiculous. Only one in four Blue Whales shows the tail and that happens very rarely anyways. Seeing a tail of it is just beyond anyone’s expectations. What in the world did we just witness, four Blue Whales in the fjord?
