The swell remains from the last few days, but, with a significant drop in wind meaning the water surface from Akureyri to Hjalteyri was glassy. Mixed showers and 100% cloud cover.

Two Minke Whales were found in the shallow area East of Hjalteyri and a little further North, around small Strytan, was a Humpback Whale. Our Rib tour, however, was spent with a Humpback further North around the line of Árskógssandur.

The afternoon consisted of more Humpbacks, further North around Grenivik. Four Humpbacks here, two swimming together, and emerging close to the boat on many occasions.
