In the early morning it was very calm, but the wind picked up throughout the day. We started seeing some white caps on the waves but it was still nice. The further we went out the more swell we encountered, but only 1m probably. It was cloudy in the morning but starting around lunch time, rain came in, which also increased throughout the afternoon.

On our morning tours we encountered 4 Humpback Whales in total. One close to Hjalteyri and the other three east of Hrisey. At one point two of them teamed up and swam together.

In the afternoon tours, the sea conditions worsened but were still very managable. This time we found 2 Humpback Whales including Ískona, a little further south in Gljáin. Both coming up almost together at the same time and fairly close again.
