This morning we are greeted by blue skies and sun in the face. It is very calm, we have almost no wind and the sea is as flat as can be. A perfect day for some whale watching. The wind did pick up throughout the day as it usually does when it gets sunny and warm, but the water on the fjord was quite flat, which helped us a lot when spotting whales.

This morning, we found 4 Humpback Whales feeding around Grenivik. On the way back, we saw one of the whales, having moved south of Grenivik, head-slapping and lunge feeding. In the morning Piccolo and another Humpback were lunge feeding together.
And then later in the afternoon more feeding by single individuals, very close to shore actually. Lots of bird activity above and plenty of Harbour Porpoises as well.

A little update from the last tour today - we found Piccolo and another 2 Humpback Whales North of Hjalteyri, two of those Humpback lunged out of the water with their mouths wide open twice, amazing show, that hopefully keeps on repeating as we all were completely speechless after seeing it. The way we found these two is also special, one of our customers saw them jumping from the distance. They breached a few times and when we arrived closer we saw a little pectoral fin slap and right after that they started to feed. It was just once again an unforgettable day for all of us.
