Hello all whale enthusiasts
Today we had wind from the south and in the afternoon from the north and moderate waves..
We set off in search of our whales and enjoyed the fjord’s beauty in the meantime. We saw one Humpback Whale south of Hjalteyri, which we observed for a while, and when we got further north of Hjalteyri, we saw quite a few of them... About 10 Humpback whales were feeding in the area... from a distance, we saw several whales exhaling and we couldn't wait before we came a little closer to them... Of course, we always follow the Code of Conduct, which tells us, how close and at what speed we can approach the whales... But sometimes the whales decide to come after us themselves because they are also as curious as we are and after all, they don't know our rules... then of course we enjoy the company:-)... This afternoon even one jumped out and appeared to us in all its beauty...
A wonderful day is behind us and we are looking forward to the next day with our whale friends
