We had a calm, but fairly cold day today in Eyjafjörður! During our morning tour, we even saw some snowflakes!
The tours were amazing today, we spotted at least five different Humpback Whales outside of Hjalteyri. They repeatedly resurfaced close to our boat and we could see flukes in all directions around us, some closer, some further away.
We had super beautiful encounters with the Humpbacks today and were so excited to hear them breathe out when they came up close to us. One Humpback calmly passed by our boat, as if it checked us out, and continued to arch its back to go for a deep dive right beside us. Additionally, one Minke Whale was encountered on our Classic Tours!
