Sea conditions today have been on their best behaviour possible. Glass all day and everywhere. Cloudy-ish in the morning, but more blue coming through in the afternoon. It certainly was a brisk day, so onion layering was essential.
In the morning we saw lots of Harbour Porpoises south of the green buoy. And then encountered 4 Humpback Whales spread out around and south of Hjalteyri. Lots of close encounters, and we got to hear the whales exhale and also inhale since it has been very calm on the water. Furthermore, and a few kilometres north, we also found 1 Minke Whales.
In the afternoon we saw the Harbour Porpoises again, 2 Humpback Whales next to Hjalteyri and kept going a bit further north to Grenivik, where we then spotted about 6 Humpback Whales around us but saw even more further north.
