A wonderful afternoon was spent in our calm fjord! We had great weather conditions, it was raining at first but soon stopped shortly after we sailed out.
We spotted a lot of Harbor Porpoises around Svalbarðseyri and as we were stopped to look at them, one Humpback Whale joined as well! The calm weather conditions made for great spotting conditions and we repeatedly saw the porpoises again while watching the Humpback. We were lucky to watch surface feeding of the Humpback, which was resurfacing very frequently in general. This Humpback was easily identified as Piccolo and I think it is fair to say that this Humpback is our whale of the month as we spotted this individual on almost every single tour throughout February!
