Another amazing day in Eyjafjörður! We had overall good weather conditions today, it was snowing a little bit in the beginning of the tour and further north in the fjord the wind picked up, creating smaller waves.
Nevertheless, we spotted three Humpback Whales southeast of Hrísey! One of them was Piccolo, so this Humpback moved a bit further north today than we were used to in the last weeks. All three of them were mostly swimming together, resurfacing close to each other at the same time and going for deep dives one after the other. We had a few incredibly close encounters and got to have a really good look at the three of them! Absolutely stunning encounters today.
On the way back, we also briefly spotted a pod of Harbor Porpoises north of Akureyri and had a good look at the hot waterfall before returning to the harbor!
