The weather today was a true reminder of nature's unpredictability. Rain poured from the grey skies, and the wind began to pick up, making the waves roll fiercely at around 2.5 meters. But none of that stopped us from enjoying our ride across the vast ocean. There’s something special about the thrill of riding through choppy waters, even on days like today.

Our mission? To spot the magnificent whales that roam these seas. We circled the area, eyes scanning the horizon, hoping for a glimpse of the elusive giants. But, despite our best efforts, the whales remained hidden from us today. We couldn't find any signs of their presence, no characteristic spouts or breaches breaking the surface. It was a little disappointing, given how close we’ve been to them in past outings.

What's interesting about whale watching in these parts is how we do it—without the help of electronic devices like sonar or radar. We don't use these technologies because they interfere with the whales' natural navigation systems, disturbing their peace. Instead, we rely on what has worked for centuries—our eyes. Binoculars are a must, and we keep in constant contact with local fishermen, other boats, and fellow whale-watching companies to share information on sightings. It’s a more organic approach, one that honors the animals we’re so eager to see.

Unfortunately, despite all our efforts and the help of our network, we didn't spot a single cetacean today. It’s a reminder that, even though we've had spectacular sightings in the past—96% last year and 99% this year—nature can sometimes decide otherwise. The ocean is unpredictable, and even on the best days, the whales don’t always make an appearance.

But that’s the beauty of it, isn't it? You can never truly predict what will happen out here, and that’s why it’s always worth coming back. We remain hopeful that tomorrow, nature will show us the full extent of its beauty, and we’ll be lucky enough to witness the incredible cetaceans that roam these waters.

Until then, we’ll take this experience in stride and look forward to what tomorrow brings.
