Today, we spotted Piccolo, the humpback whale, right from our office window as we sailed toward the Pollurinn Harbor.

Today, we saw our friend Picolo, the humpback whale, surface for a breath before diving again, followed by a group of harbor porpoises, and Picolo even reappeared later to feed near the surface, giving us a close-up view of his long pectoral fins.

Today, amidst the fog, we encountered southeast of Hrisey a playful pod of 25-30 White- beaked dolphins and had a close encounter with a magnificent humpback whale, which surfaced near our boat and showed us its beautiful fluke."

Today was an unforgettable day as we spotted our friend Piccolo, the humpback whale, up close in Pollurin Harbor, watching its distinctive white fluke, massive pectoral fins, and the fascinating tubercles on its head.

Again, we were fortunate enough to spot Piccolo the Humpback Whale in Pollurinn, our harbor of Akureyri, as well as one pod of Harbor Porpoises further north in the fjord.

Today, we spotted Piccolo the Humpback Whale just north of Akureyri during our morning tour. It slowly made its way into Pollurinn, our main harbor area, where we spotted it again on our afternoon tour. Additionally, we spotted a few Harbor Porpoises.

Finally the storm has passed Iceland and we could sail out again to spot one Humpback Whale north of Grenivik!
Another Humpback Whale was seen in Pollurinn later on, so let’s hope it will be seen there again tomorrow!

Morning full of sunshine, yet the afternoon got a bit cloudier, but the sun made it through the clouds bunch of times. That helped us revealing a distant blow of a Humpback Whale by Hauganes and gave us a chance to observe bunch of deep dives.

We spotted a humpback whale west of Grenivík, traveling north, staying close to the surface and revealing its massive pectoral fins and distinctive curved dorsal fin.

It was a beautiful, sunny day in the fjord today. We encountered one feeding Humpback Whale in Pollurinn, just outside of our harbor in Akureyri!

Today, despite eagerly waiting after spotting the blow of two humpback whales, nature had other plans, and the whales stayed out of sight, but we offered our guests complimentary tickets to ensure they get another chance to experience these majestic creatures. Today, we sailed under clear skies and -9°C temperatures, witnessing a stunning sunrise that bathed the mountains in pink hues, while searching for whales south of Hrísey. After some effort, we spotted a playful humpback whale that came close enough for our guests to see its head, pectoral fins, and immense size—a truly unforgettable experience.

We sailed out on a cold winter day and were surrounded by eight humpback whales, their massive bodies surfacing close to the boat. The experience was made even more magical by the colorful blows at sunrise, leaving us with an unforgettable memory of these majestic creatures.

On today’s tour we encountered two feeding Humpback Whales south of Hrísey. We were lucky to repeatedly witness very rare bubble net feeding by one of the Humpbacks! A truly special day.
